The Anakee Adventure 2 marks Michelin’s bid to become a major force in the adventure segment by 2030. Designed for Adventure/Touring riders, this tyre meets the growing demand for a durable, road-ready option that can also handle off-the-beaten-path adventures with confidence.

The issue has been that road-focused touring tyres tend to confine your pricey big bike adventures mostly to tarmac or the occasional fire road, while off-road-focused tyres howl at you mile after mile and wear flat after just a few thousand. Could these new tyres finally solve that problem?
The Anakee Adventure 2 is described as being “designed for predominantly on-road use with confident off-road capability.” In other words, Michelin has aimed them at the 80/20 market, highlighting that “the optimized tread design reduces noise, boosts grip in all weather, and makes long rides more comfortable and less tiring, while giving you the confidence to handle trails.”
Their 2CT Technology (dual-compound) provides durability in the center of the tire and maximum grip on the shoulders, while the reinforced Radial-X Evo and Aramid Shield are said to deliver stability, comfort, and resistance on all terrains. According to them, the new tread design offers a perfect balance between road comfort and traction on loose surfaces.
The Anakee Adventure 2 is now available, marking a significant and strategic milestone in Michelin’s ambition to establish itself as a leading force in the adventure segment by 2030.
