UK citizens are now permitted to travel to China for stays of up to 30 days without the need for a visa, as a result of an agreement reached by Sir Keir Starmer during his recent visit to Beijing. This development marks a significant enhancement in bilateral relations and is expected to facilitate greater cultural, business, and tourism exchanges between the two nations.

This policy brings the United Kingdom into alignment with 50 other nations, including France and Germany, as part of a comprehensive initiative to promote business and tourism in China. Additionally, the agreement encompasses ongoing discussions concerning a potential trade deal between the United Kingdom and China.
