Following on from ‘Welcome to Little Ted‘, there was some urgent work required before the bike could go on the road.
First, the indicators, mirror, and screen needed replacing to keep the bike legal. I considered purchasing new fairings from China for approximately £400; however, a condition of the arrangement was that I would use the bike for the Longest Day Challenge in the future, and purchasing the fairings would blow the budget.
The indicators, mirror, and screen were all sourced from eBay. Although the original fairings were functional, they were heavily scratched and had a few cracks. While browsing eBay, I came across a set of used fairings that, while not in perfect condition, were significantly better than the ones already installed. This set also came with crash bungs featuring pre-drilled holes, making their inclusion an obvious choice.
The next item on my list was the exhaust, which had incurred a substantial dent along with multiple scratches that were more than just cosmetic. While I contemplated the option of having it repaired, a search on eBay presented an ideal alternative: a brand-new GR Moto exhaust, still in its original packaging and never installed. I mean, it would be stupid not to!

The next task involved a visit to Two Wheel Workshop for Little Ted’s MOT. Following a couple of advisories, the necessary checks were completed, and the MOT was successfully obtained. One of the advisories was that the rear brake disc was warped, so I ended up buying more parts again—EBC, of course.
Since then, the bike has just been ridden both to and from work and to bike meets and out for a blast with Gozza! However, there are more upgrades planned, a deep clean and even more enjoyment to be had!
