As a biker passionate about restoring and repairing bikes, it was only a matter of time before i faced the need for recovering a seat. Soft furnishings are not exactly my strong suit, so I was left with two options: learn how to do it myself or find someone skilled to take on the task.
I began communicating with North West upholstery in the summer whilst working on my BMW GS, intending to add more padding, which I didn’t get round to, but then when I acquired the Suzuki GS it had a torn seat cover and the padding was deteriorating, so I contacted them again. After sending a few photographs, a quote was provided that I felt was too good to be true. A week later I sent a friend to take the seat and within a couple of days I received a message telling me the seat was ready for collection. To my astonishment, the whole seat looked brand new, even through only one panel had been replaced! It felt wrong to mount onto the bike in all honesty.
