The UltimateAddons phone case and mount system is the perfect accessory for any rider who want to use their phone as navigations. We all know the days of a dedicated satnav are dying out.
There are many cases and mount’s out there, so why UltimateAddons? After owning the UltimateAddons case (universal XL because I have a habbit of swapping phones a lot) and having it mounted onto my Yamaha FZ6 daily for the best part of a year, I was more than happy with the quality of the equipment compared to other offerings from other companies, so when it came to wanting to put a phone for navigation on my VFR, there was only one place to turn! I now have a UltimateAddons mount on most of my bikes (I use different mounts for different bikes, I have used the accessory bar, handle bar, sportsbike and top clamp mounts).
One of the main problems with using a smartphone (especially if you have an apple product) is the vibrations, many companies have spent a load of money on R&D to develop a system to ‘cushion’ those vibrations, however UltimateAddons have always had the solution, their cases have a hard plastic outer shell and a silicone liner, this liner protects the phone from the vibrations, and if you get a phone specific case then it will fit your phone perfectly.
The system is simple to use, the three prong clamp keeps the case connected to the mount, only able to be released by pressing two buttons. The mounts themselves (which as far as I can tell covers every possible application) are easy to fit and with very basic tools will be on your bike in a matter of minutes. The case is held together with two ‘over centre’ clasps and snap-fit catches with an opening at the bottom to plug your phone in to charge. These cases are also waterproof!
The build quality of the cases and mounts are great, even when bounced down the road at 60MPH (user error), the phone survived remarkably well.
I have used other mounts in the past and nothing that I have used compares to UltimateAddons.
