Whilst the bike was being partially stripped, it was time for a bit of cleaning on the frame (in an ideal world the frame would have been fully stripped, sand blasted and powder coated but we don’t have the time for that at the moment with everything else that is going on with life if we actually want to ride the 2025 challenge), so a quick wire brush and paint was applied (well I brushed and Dan painted), some of the smaller parts were sand blasted and powder coated (see Ant’s part 7 teaser) initially I wanted to keep some of the parts chrome, but they were too far past chrome, so I ended up powder coating them to make them look better. As I state in Ant’s part 7 teaser, anything from or worked on in the G-Style speed shop comes out with something pink on it, in my case the battery box.

There is still loads to do, but the rebuild has started now. I did consider writing a ‘what’s left to do’ list, but then thought that was just procrastination.

What was once Chrome, is now appliance white!
Ignore the state of the frame, it is the best I could do with the time available, it is still solid. Note the pink battery tray.

Finally, some work on the bike!

Nige would also like to extend his gratitude to Ant and Dan for their help and Emma for supporting him whilst he is spending time in the garage.
