The bike see’s daylight!
Today feels productive. There is still a long long way to go, however, Dan popped over and we got the front built up and dragged the bike outside. The tank and seat are merely placed on. There is still a lot more work to be done, but after Dan left, I nipped up to Ant’s to see how his bike is coming along and to powder coat a few items.

The hardest job today was swapping the rear tyre that was on Jamie’s wheel and putting it onto the original GS500 rear wheel (the wheels from Jamie will be getting a colour change and new tyres, but for now I want to keep the bike ‘rolling’), while Dan was cleaning and painting the frame and swing arm. You don’t think how much grime gets around the swing arm and the chain guard, it is a thankless task especially on a old bike that’s not had much love.

It’s looking better!
Nige has teamed up with 12 volt planet, Atom batteries, All Oils, Beeline navigation, Dr Wack, Goodridge, HiFlo filtro, Lomo, Lone Rider, MandP, MSG bike gear, Pinlock, Rippl impact gear, RS Motorworx, SMD automotive and Ultimate Addons to complete this challenge. Without the help of these companies this wouldn’t have been possible.
Nige would also like to extend his gratitude to Ant and Dan for their help and Emma for supporting him whilst he is spending time in the garage.
