I have used draper solder for as long as I have been wiring (the best part of 30 years), but I have used countless soldering irons from various different companies from the top brands to cheaper ones.

My father in law has a 50w Draper soldering iron he has had for over 25 years and it works well, so when I was in the market for a replacement, I knew I would have to try the larger Draper one.

I have not been disappointed, it heats up remarkably quick and is ready to solder in a matter of moments. I have a solder station so never use the stands that come with the iron, that said, I am sure all the stands are made by the same company, there all pretty basic but do the job.

I have changed the tip, and luckily being from a reputable company tips are readily available and cheap.

If my soldering iron was to expire today, I would be ordering another Draper one without a shadow of a doubt.
