I have done many long days in the saddle, but when I signed up for the Longest Day Challenge, I knew I needed to put comfort at the top of my list. I had seen these advertised for a while on social media, if I am honest I thought they were a bit of a gimmick.
I reached out to the director of Rippl Impact Gear to get more information and before I knew it, a pair was on their way to me.
My initial thoughts when putting these on were how comfy they felt, it didn’t feel like there was padding when walking to the bike, nor did I feel that the boxers were any different to any other pair you can buy.
Fast forward 11 hours and ‘half way through’ the LEJoG ride, I was off the bike for a break, sat on wooden benches I was comfy, I didn’t feel sweaty down there but most importantly, I felt ready to get back on the bike to carry on. By the end of the 1034.6 miles, yes I had had enough, I was tired and emotional, but if it wasn’t for the fact of hygiene, I would have probably slept in them!
Overall a great buy for long distance or high seat time riding. I genuinely cannot recommend these enough.

Nige used the Apex Rides on the Longest Day Challenge 2025. No walking like John Wayne, hardly any discomfort but most of all, no blisters unlike some other riders. Nige would like to extend his thanks to Rippl for their support on the LDC 2025.
