This nifty little satnav has been tested to the extreme, it has done both local commutes (under 30 miles each way) to long distance rides (over 1000 miles). It has found me new ways to travel to and from work (using the ‘fun’ ride function) and got me out of trouble in the Longest Day Challenge.
I have the extra on-bike charging facility on one of my bikes, however, you can still attach a USB-c plug when the devise is mounted on your bike. But in all honesty, they state that the battery lasts 14 hours, I would suggest mine lasted longer as I didn’t put it on charge until we were over the boarder and past the ferry (at least 16 hours). The map is so easy to read (however you can use the beeline app as well), concise and no glitching unlike other systems I have used in the past.
The app is amazing, if you can use google maps, then you will be able to use this! The options of ‘fast’, ‘fun’ and ‘compass’ means you can choose what you need for your ride.
The images show all three different modes on the app. I will say, using the ‘fun’ mode has shown me some amazing local roads I didn’t know existed and the ‘compass’ means you wont get lost even if you go off track.
The included mount is great, however there are many different mounts to fit the devise onto different bikes. On my Royal Enfield I use a handlebar mount, but I use the included one of the Yamaha. I would recommend one optional extra, the bag….I am great at loosing things, so having a pouch to keep it in when not on the bike and in a secure location is amazing.
All in all, this is a must have for me. I used to have the original Moto, which I thought was good, but the Moto2 is even more impressive. Compare the prices to other motorbike navigational systems and I think its a no brainer.
