As Ant is doing a vlog, I (Nige) thought I would add my thoughts to his blog.
I have never ridden a NTV before, I did consider a NT650V Deauville when I was looking for a tourer a couple of years ago (when I ended up with a VFR800), so when Ant asked if I wanted a quick ride, I couldn’t resist.
For a sub £300 bike, its in great condition, scrap that even if it had been £1000 it would have been a good deal!
It fired up first time and although lumpy idle initially, it never stalled out on me. It is obvious to me that the carbs have been jetted for the after market exhaust, which sounds amazing with a lovely v-twin burble and it pops on over run.

The only thing that I did note was the rear brake was a little sticky, initially I assumed down to rust on the disc, so I rode with the rear brake on slightly, which did seam to ease the sticking, but I think a full overhaul of the rear calliper may benefit.
Obviously, I am not going to talk about his plans, all I will say is that it will be different and if it is anything like his other work, it will look amazing.
I will admit, I am a little jealous.
Nige.
