Fly ride.

Some places are not worth trying to ship your bike to, small places like the Canaries or the Greek islands for example or places you want to go but don’t want to send your bike like Africa. When I travel to places such as Tenerife I look what’s around and try and work out a route with some help from the internet.

Obviously where ever you intend to travel to depends very much upon what you need to take with you. I am basing this guide on personal experiences riding in Tenerife and Rhodes. Both places I rented the bike from also included a helmet and I rented a jacket, but what else did I take? I take motorbike jeans, trainers and some lightweight summer gloves. I wore the jeans and trainers to and from the airport also (saving valuable suitcase space for the wife, happy wife = happy life).
