Having owned many action cameras in my time (including a GoPro Hero 3 Black), I decided it was time to upgrade to a newer camera to capture my rides. I will admit I was torn between this and the GoPro Hero 4K, but after some research, the GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini is far superior in terms of image quality and stabilisation, that said the GoPro Hero 4K is a lot smaller and lighter (but lets be honest, does that come into mind for a motorbike action camera?).

This camera does not pretend to be the top of the range, it is actually quite a humbling. It does what you want from an action camera and it does it well. With ‘HyperSmooth 5.0 video stabilization’, you really do feel like the image quality could be viewed in a full sized cinema. Another neat trick that I have not had the ability to use before is the bottom and back mounts, this makes it even easier to put the camera where you want it!
For something that costs so little new, it is surprising where these cameras have been used.
They have been around for two years now and have been used in countless Netflix films and programmes, Clarkson’s farm is known to use them.
On a full charge it has been reported that you can get approximately a hour and a half recording on 60fps. The battery you are unable to swap, but you can charge and record at the same time.

The camera comes with a multitude of different mounts, however I had an UltimateAddons camera mount already fitted on the bike which was used for the POV Pro review, so this will be the testbed to keep it fair.
Image stabilisation and horizon is great, the Royal Enfield twin is a bit of a shaker!
The camera its self is well constructed, it feels strong and like it will take a drop or two.
The GoPro Quick app is for me what makes these so easy. The app will also edit a video for you, this video was made from the app using three different videos, with very little input from me.
I have subscribed to the Quik app, however for the cost, I think it is worth it.
The simple top screen is perfect to monitor progress, but the in-house Quik app does the rest, and it does it well, without the need for WiFi or network signal.

Final thoughts:
Depending on your budget, this is a great camera. I didn’t feel the need or want for a screen to show where the camera was pointing, the GoPro app gives you a preview, which I think is great.
After speaking to some other people about this camera, there are some motocross teams that have a few, like me they love the rear mount.
Overall for the money, I really doubt you will get better quality. My only complaint would be the battery life of about a hour and a half.
