So who is Graham?

The first time I heard about Graham was listening to one of his audio books, ‘in search of greener grass’. It turns out that this TV celebrity (well he was once on Deal or No Deal (DOND)) has travelled further than most people could ever dream of. His TV stint on DOND won him £5000, which weirdly was the same amount of money that he spent on a overland trip to Mongolia (which he wrote about in ‘in search of greener grass’.

The back ground to the book is his diarised travel blog, riding from the UK to Mongolia, through Europe, Russia and South Korea, meeting new people and making friends along the way, all on a £750 eBay Yamaha KLR. This was my introduction, I remember the day that I finished the audio book, I actually felt a little empty, like what’s next, luckily Graham has penned and recorded other books, so all was not lost.

The way Graham writes and even reads his audiobooks, you don’t feel like he is just a author, you end up feeling like he is a friend.

Someone you can relate to, with a little jealousy but a lot of admiration, and then he says some random life experience which is so relatable.

Graham is a compulsive traveller with a compelling manner, brutal honesty and integrity. His books are authentic experiences from his 35 years of diaries, kept as he’s meandered around the planet from foot to bicycle, to motorbike to four wheels.

Graham has written six books and is currently writing his seventh.

Travel on his mind and bikes in his blood stream, Graham’s low budget journeys of humour and honesty have inspired many to hit the road in search of their dreams. He now resides in Bulgaria, he still has the Yamaha and has added a KTM to the fleet.
