At the time of my research, the M6 has a road closure and diversion on it, however almost parallel to the closure is the mainly national speed limit A6.

The second longest leg of the route, shorter by only one mile. Once I have collected my receipt from the petrol station, I will set off down the A82, to reach Glasgow. From there, it will be a swift journey down the M74 and M6, crossing back into England to arrive at the final checkpoint in Warrington.

Given the length of the journey, a planned stop for both refueling and a final meal will be necessary, with the Carlisle area being a suitable mid way location. Potential options include Todhills or Southwaite services along the M6, which provide convenient access directly from the M6 for both fuel and food before continuing on the route.

With any luck we are leaving this check point in the early hours of the morning (2 to 3am ideally).
