Mali is a landlocked country in West Africa, bordered by Algeria to the north, Niger to the east, Burkina Faso to the southeast, Ivory Coast to the south, Guinea to the southwest, Senegal to the west, and Mauritania to the northwest. The capital city is Bamako, located in the southwest of the country. Mali has a rich history, particularly known for its role in trans-Saharan trade, connecting West Africa with the Maghreb
