In between work and family life, I have managed to paint the wheels and mount the new tyres!

I wont pretend these were easy, for some reason they had to be the hardest tyres I have ever fitted and I dread to think how many tyres I have changed in my life! I will admit I may have scratched the wheels a little when putting the new tyres on, but nothing a quick splash of paint cannot sort.

New tyre valves fitted and new bearings will be fitted before these go on to the bike with the brake disc etc…

Also, a lot of people in the Longest Day Challenge (LDC) group are saying that it gets dark when in Scotland, they are fitting extra lights.

I know Ant isn’t a fan, so that made me more determined to find the cheapest and probably the most unreliable lights I could. A little bit of time with some aluminium sheet I had laying about the garage and a few nuts and bolts there easily put on the bike.

And to make this even sweeter, there are two settings on them, yellow lights are my running lights (no where near my indicators) and the white light turn’s on with my full beam, and yeah they are cr@p.

A wheely good time.

Nige would also like to extend his gratitude to Ant and Dan for their help and Emma for supporting him whilst he is spending time in the garage.
