As the carburettors are at CRC Restoration Services, there is not much to be done. So Dan came over and cleaned the engine for me, whilst I sorted out the drive chain, tightened the back end up and a few other little jobs that I have either not got round to or procrastinated that much that they got left.
News from Ian at CRC is that the carbs were a nightmare but are now stripped down but were full of gunk and one of the diaphragms is shot. Having previously rode in the LDC, Ian knows how much it means to all the riders and has pulled out all the stops to get my carbs done in time, also this year, he is manning a pit stop, lets hope he is awaiting my arrival and not out on the road trying to put my bike in the back of a van!
We are hoping to refit the carbs next week and get the bike running.

Were hopeful if nothing else!
