Someone asked me the other day, ‘what are you doing with your clothes’, and if I am honest, I wasn’t overly sure, I have a bracket and a top box that would fit the bike, but if I am honest, I was not a fan of the look, how ever practical they may be.
So this got me thinking, and realistically, I/we would be stupid to even attempt this mammoth ride without some basic tools (I mean lets be honest, my bike is a good way off being completed, but I am a lot further on than Ant is!). So, Ant’s bike has zero storage, mine has enough space for the basic tool kit, and lets be honest, it does not have anywhere near what we need in that.
The answer?
I knew I would need either pannier system (discounted for the same reason as I didn’t want a top box) or a saddle bag and a ruck sack.
The saddle bag will hold the tools and emergency spares, with my rain cover and fleece for me. For this, Lone Rider have been amazing and sponsored me a Explorer Duffel dry bag (30L).
Equally, Lomo have sponsored me a rucksack for my clothes, emergency snacks and drinks etc in the shape of their daysack, not only this, we have another Lomo bag to raffle off to boost the funds for Cancer Research UK.

Both of these bags will be getting reviewed for Two-Wheels in the forth coming months.
Positive thoughts only please…
