I had to admit defeat. The Suzuki was running amazing on a remote fuel tank, however as soon as it was through its own fuel tank it would bog down. It turns out that after I cleaned the tank and left it empty, some rust spots started which in turn contaminated any fuel I put in and blocked the carb jets.
So this is a problem of my own cause. It is fixable but will take way longer than I have before the big evet and I want to put some miles on the bike before attempting 1000 miles.
The answer?
I could admit defeat and give in, but that’s not me.
So I looked in the garage and pulled on the Yamaha ZF6, is it over budget? Possibly/possibly not but right now it is the closest thing I have that’s ridable.
If I am honest, the only prep work was to swap some mounts over, chain and tyre check. With more time I would have given it a service, and Em put some stickers on it.
We were then busy finishing Ant’s bike, but I will leave that for him to VLog.

One way or another I will make the start!
