For commuting, I don’t think you can beat textile trousers, they offer safety and water resistance in a garment you can put on over other clothes, with the added bonus of a removable thermal layer to keep you warmer in winter.

I have owned a good few pairs of textile trousers in my time, but these Oxford Metro 2 have lasted so well. You wouldn’t know mine are two years old at all. I especially love the zip pocket rather than a velcro flap like most seam to use, there great for putting my phone in.

I have used these when touring when I the weather was not as good and they are more than comfy enough.

The Metro 2.0 offers year-round functionality due to its waterproof drop liner construction, removable thermal liner and impressive ventilation for a package capable of tackling cold, wet commutes and on-road adventure riding.
