Riding in Poland
You need understandable documents.

Whether you’re a seasoned rider or someone who’s just getting started, it’s always important to brush up on your safety skills before heading out on any road trip. Here are a few tips that all motorcycle riders should keep in mind:
- Always wear a helmet — not only is this required by law in Poland, but it could just save your life in the event of an accident.
- Stay alert and be aware of your surroundings at all times. This means no texting or talking on the phone while you’re on your bike.
- Don’t try to speed or ride too aggressively; not only is this dangerous, but you’re likely to incur heavy fines if you’re caught by police.
- Make sure you’re visible to other motorists
- Stick to the right – In Poland, motorists aren’t too fond of lane hoggers
- Be aware of the weather — when planning your route, be sure to take into account any sudden changes in weather that could affect your trip.
What kit and documents do I need to ride in Poland?
The same sources say you have to carry a warning triangle and a first aid kit, but again that’s not true for motorcycles (although the latter is a good idea anyway).
You must ride with dipped beam on at all times.
How to get to Poland
I have done this trip a few times, and for myself, the over night ferry from Hull or Newcastle is by far my favourite. I have ridden from the docks in Amsterdam all the way to Wrocław in one day.
