There is no budget for this challenge, any bike any cost. So for that reason, I will use the bike that I did the Longest Day Challenge (LDC) 2025 on, a 2008 Yamaha FZ6 S2.
I learnt a lot on the LDC, more about the bike and preparation than myself.
So the plans for the bike to get it ready:
- Evotech handlebar beeline moto2 mount.
- Extra lights for the dark side of the ride.
- Chain oiler (on the LDC we had five pitstops where the chain would be oiled, this luxury is not an option on this ride).
- Extra USB charger (one of my biggest regrets from the LDC 25 was not recording the ride).
- Full service (including coolant & brake fluid flush).
