Ride to Northern Europe.

Three day trip to Northern Europe.

Amsterdam, Germany, Denmark, Sweden & Norway.

  • Miles: 977
  • Start: Rotterdam
  • End: Oslo
  • Time: I would suggest two or three days
  • Suitability: any A2 or above

Why ship your bike to Norway or Sweden?

Why not make the most of the trip and see more of the places we just normally pass by.

This route avoids tolls (tolls would save approximately 25 minutes).

Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands after the national capital of Amsterdam. It is in the province of South Holland, part of the North Sea mouth of the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta, via the “New Meuse” inland shipping channel, dug to connect to the Meuse at first and now to the Rhine.

Bremen is the capital of the German state of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, a two-city-state consisting of the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven.

Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany after Berlin and 6th-largest in the European Union with a population of over 1.9 million

Odense is the third largest city in Denmark (after Copenhagen and Aarhus) and the largest city on the island of Funen.

Oresund bridge is a combined railway and motorway cable-stayed bridge across the Oresund strait between Denmark and Sweden. It is the second longest bridge in Europe with both roadway and railway combined in a single structure, running nearly 5 miles (8km) from the Swedish coast to the artificial island Peberholm in the middle of the strait. The crossing is completed by the 2.5 miles (4km) Drogden Tunnel from Peberholm to the Danish island of Amager.

Copenhagen is the capital and most populous city of Denmark, with a population of 1.4 million in the urban area. The city is situated on the islands of Zealand and Amager, separated from Malmö, Sweden, by the Oresund strait.

Helsingborg

Gothenburg is a city and the seat of Helsingborg Municipality, Scania (Skåne), Sweden. Helsingborg is the central urban area of northwestern Scania and Sweden’s closest point to Denmark: the Danish city Helsingør is clearly visible about 2.5 miles (4km) to the west on the other side of the Oresund.

Oslo is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality.
