Renowned as one of the UK’s most picturesque routes, its twists and turns contribute to its beauty.

The Journey from Glossop to Sheffield transverses the Peak District, presenting a demanding drive, characterised by blind summits and challenging bends.

Snake Pass is a mountain pass located in the Derbyshire section of the Peak District, traversing the Pennines, passing the Ladybower Reservoir. Engineered by Thomas Telford, the pass was inaugurated in 1821, it accommodates the A57 connecting Manchester to Sheffield, it is no longer the main route between these cities as traffic is now rerouted through the northern Woodhead Pass.
