Japanese automaker Suzuki is preparing to unveil its new DR-Z4S Monster Hunter Wilds Edition concept at this week’s Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, positioning the event as the official launch platform for the innovative model.

The new model is one of five concept designs set to be displayed, but it seems it’ll be the only motorcycle in the mix. Suzuki will showcase a total of nine models at the event, which will be held at the Makuhari Messe convention centre in Chiba City, Chiba, from January 9 to 11.

While the majority of the models on display are robust, heavy-duty four-wheelers, the distinctive and unconventional DR-Z4S stands out as a notable highlight. Its unique design immediately draws interest, particularly given that Suzuki offers the standard DR-Z4S model in the UK market. However, this does not necessarily indicate that the Monster Hunter Wilds Edition is destined for our market. Before such considerations can even arise, the motorcycle must transition from its current status as a concept model to a fully production-ready vehicle.

Suzuki has teamed up with ‘Monster Hunter,’ the hit game from gaming giant Capcom, to create an exciting new concept. While Capcom is famous worldwide, it enjoys a cult following in Japan, and this isn’t the first time the two brands have joined forces. Back in May 2025, Suzuki unveiled a unique GSX-8R with a special livery celebrating its collaboration with Capcom and the Street Fighter 6 game. According to Suzuki, the new DR-Z4S concept draws inspiration from ‘Seikret,’ a mode of transport and companion in Monster Hunter, aiming to capture the thrill of adventure.

In the UK, the standard DR-Z4S is priced at £7,999 and comes equipped with a single-cylinder engine delivering 37 bhp and 27.2 lb-ft of torque.
