Honestly, it surpassed all my expectations.

What can’t this bike do? Well honestly, I had the pleasure of one for twenty four hours riding around Tenerife, and in that time I rode it up and round Mount Teide on single track sharp bendy roads, I did some of the TF1 (motorway) and many of the flowing twisty bits. I am sure I saw all four seasons of the year with rain and sleet up Mirador Juan Évora, spring showers on the way down through Corona Forestal natural park to summer when I got back round to Granadilla de Abona (I will be putting a guide together for this ride). The bike is happy in traffic, nipping through and filtering with ease.
In hindsight, I guess I was not expecting much from an A2 legal 30BHP single cylinder bike. But I love the classic looks, it’s actually a comfy bike even for someone with my stature (6foot2, tipping the scales at about 13 stones (on a good day) with a beer belly (or dad bod), but it was a pleasant surprise), it’s very comfortable, enough power for fun and staying ‘legal’. Overall the bike just felt natural.
This is a bike anyone can hop on and ride. It is very well balanced and I don’t think anyone with a license would feel uncomfortable riding it.

I honestly think for a bike to blast around the twisties or commuting you would be hard pushed to find anything else better for the price. What it wouldn’t be is a great European tourer, other than that it’s a great and well balanced all rounder.

I love the front of this bike. I mean it looks good from all angles, but to make a small, ‘commuter’ bike look aggressive and cute at the same time is quite an achievement.

The bike itself is well equipped for a ‘small bike’, having full LED lighting, ABS and USB charging as standard. The LCD dash is well laid out and easy to read quickly.

I took a UltimateAddons test handlebar bracket for my phone and GoPro (which had battery issues), and used the onboard USB to charge my phone.
One of the bonuses with this 300cc single is when rolling off the throttle it likes to pop, the bike sounds so well.
The only negative that I can say is as much as there is six gears, sixth is more like a overdrive and I found myself down shifting to fifth on steeper sections of the motorway, I did look at the difference and according to the LCD tacho the difference is about 700rpm when travelling at 100kph, but that said there are still many bikes still about with five gears.
After 320km, what my final thoughts? Well, the first thing that I think is, ‘where else can I go’, followed by ‘if only I could have longer here’. Less than €15 in premium unleaded but totally worth the rental €47 (including jacket and helmet), I have zero regrets, I thoroughly enjoyed my day on a motorbike in Tenerife and mostly down to the confidence inspiring Voge.

Now the question is, would I have one? In all honesty, yes, I would have one as an alternative to my Yamaha Fazer for commuting. But would I be going out to buy one? I would have to say no, although I wouldn’t discount one if anything happened to the Fazer. That said, any island fly ride, I would definitely not have any issues in renting another one, you wont beat them for a quick holiday blast.

I would like to thank Motorbike Rental Tenerife and UltimateAddons for their support with this ride and review.
